Attys. Justine Veron Requejo and Michael Johnrich Uy attended the Philippine Arbitration Day Convention last November 25, 2019 at the UP BGC Auditorium in Taguig City.
Hosted by the Philippine Institute of Arbitrators (PIARB), the seminar introduced the Philippine International Center for Conflict Resolution (PICCR), a non-stock, non-profit arbitral institution established by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP). The PICCR aims to provide commercial arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services and facilities for parties to disputes. The seminar, likewise, touched on the recent developments in international arbitration in line with the vision of the PICCR to promote the use of arbitration and other forms of ADR so as to make them the preferred modes of resolving disputes and to make the Philippines a preferred seat and venue for dispute resolution.
